Warhammer 40000:Space marine

Introduction

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is a third-person action video game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 6, 2011, in North America and September 9, 2011, in Europe. The game takes place in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe and features the Ultramarines chapter. Its gameplay focuses on a hybrid shooting and melee combat model.

plot

The game's plot line involves the Forge World Graia (a planet devoted to military production) that has been invaded by alien Orks. The game follows three of the Ultramarines, 2nd Company Commander and playable character Captain Titus, his immediate subordinate Sergeant Sidonus, and a relatively inexperienced and by-the-book Marine named Leandros.
From the injured Imperial Inquisitor Drogan they learn of a weapon that can wipe out the Orks, but which needs a power source that is located in a reactor below the Manufactorum. Titus retrieves it and activates the Psychic Scourge, but the Orks are not killed. Instead a Warp gate to the psychic realm of Chaos is opened, unleashing several daemons that massacre the surrounding Orks. Moments later, the Chaos Lord Nemeroth emerges from the portal. Using his Warp powers, he subdues the Space Marine squad as Inquisitor Drogan arrives via lift and approaches Nemeroth, revealing his allegiance to the Chaos Lord. It is then revealed that Drogan was killed at some point prior to meeting Titus and his corpse was possessed and used by Nemeroth as a sleeper agent. Titus gathers enough strength to grab the Power Source, which had been ejected from the Scourge, and Nemeroth is ambushed by Grimskull, allowing the Space Marines to escape.
The Scourge having opened a growing Warp portal around the Orbital Spire, allowing Chaos forces to pour in, Titus forms a plan to destroy the portal and the Spire by using one of the Titans they had secured earlier. The Titan Invictus is superpowered up by the Power Source, and destroys the Spire. However, Sergeant Sidonus is killed by Lord Nemeroth, and the Power Source is stolen and taken to the floating remains of the Spire.
Titus then leads an attack through the remaining Chaos forces to stop Lord Nemeroth from performing a ritual to ascend to the status of a Daemon Prince using the power of the device. Nemeroth has partially ascended to Daemonhood when Titus faces him; both are knocked off the spire in the struggle, and the Captain defeats him in single combat while falling towards the ground. He then breaks the experimental device in half with his hands. Titus survives the exposure to the raw Warp energy again, and is rescued by a Thunderhawk dropship before he can impact the ground.
The end scene of the game involves a new Imperial Inquisitor by the name of Thrax, accompanied by Leandros and escorted by several Black Templar Space Marines, who arrest Titus. Leandros believes that his Captain has been corrupted by Chaos, based on his resistance to warp forces. Titus denies accusations of heresy, but is willing to find the cause of his resistance, and voluntarily goes with Inquisitor Thrax. Before leaving the planet, Titus chastises Leandros for his singleminded following of Codex Astartes, and his inability to see past it and think for himself - something Titus believes is the true test of a Space Marine. A computerised report for the Imperium records show that the threat on Graia has been contained. The planet is under quarantine by order of Inquisitor Thrax, and Captain Titus is under formal investigation by the Inquisition on charges of heresy.

Gameplay

In Space Marine, the player engages enemies with both melee and ranged from a third-person point of view. The player character, Titus, has regenerative abilities. When his health gets low, performing some actions can allow Titus to regain a portion of his health. Titus is accompanied by the characters Sidonus and Leandros for most of the missions, though some missions are performed alone. The game features a fury meter that, when filled up, allows the player to either slow time for aiming or perform powerful melee attacks.
The starting weapons include a combat knife and a pistol, though the player can acquire other weapons. The game also includes a new weapon not featured in the table-top game known as the Vengeance Launcher, which can shoot sticky grenades.
The game's main antagonists are the Orks and the Forces of Chaos. The Orks are an alien race of brutish warriors. The Forces of Chaos are an even greater threat, and can summon monsters that live in a parallel dimension known as The Warp. Portals conjured by the Traitor Legions allow the daemons to cross between universes.

Inconclusion

There are two things i love. One is the 40K world. This world including variedly races and their fantastic history. And the others is that"in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war",not like many other FPS game, there is no  puzzles and no acrobatic tricks in SPACE MARINE. Nothing to stand between you and the best part of the game - fighting.

Adventure Island

INTRODUCTION

Hudson's Adventure Island, also known simply as Adventure Island and released in Japan as Takahashi Meijin no Bōken Jima, is a side-scrolling platform game produced by Hudson Soft that was first released in Japan for the Family Computer and MSX on September 12, 1986. It was later released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System on September 1988 and in the PAL region in 1992 under the title of Adventure Island Classic.

CONCEPT

The player controls Master Higgins, a young man whose girlfriend Tina has been kidnapped by King Quiller. To rescue Tina, Higgins must traverse through a series of 32 stages. There are eight worlds called "areas", which are divided four stages or "rounds" each, which are further divided into four checkpoints. When the player reaches the fourth round of each area, he must confront a boss at the end to continue to the next area. The game is completed when the player rescues Tina after defeating the eighth and final boss.

CHALLENGE

Master Higgins (the player character) loses a life whenever he touches an enemy, an enemy's attack or a fire roast, or when he falls into a pitfall or a body of water. Moreover, the player also has a health gauge that starts out with 11 points, which gradually depletes over time or whenever Higgins trips on a rock in his path. When Higgins' health gauge reaches zero, he will lose a life as well. If Higgins still has extra lives left, he will revive at the last checkpoint he passed through. The game ends when all of Higgins' lives runs out. To replenish his health, Higgins can pick up numerous fruits (or a milk bottle) on his path (his maximum health reaches up to 13 points). When the player's score reaches 50,000 points, 100,000 points, and every 200,000 points afterward, Higgins will receive an extra life. Finding a bee-like fairy known as Honey Girl will grant Higgins invincibility for fifteen seconds and allow him to kill enemies with a single touch.
Higgins starts off each life without the ability to attack and can only gain the ability to attack by picking up a stone, which can found in specific spots in each stage or hidden inside eggs. When Higgins is wielding the stone axe, he can trade it for magical fireballs that have longer range and are capable of destroying rolling stones (which are invulnerable to the stone axe).
To break an egg, the player must touch it or hit with a weapon twice. In addition to weapons, there are numerous bonus items and weapons stuck inside. There are also "hidden eggs" that are not immediately visible in plain sight. The locations of these "hidden eggs" are usually indicated when a weapon thrown by a player disappears before falling to the ground and are uncovered by jumping at the indicated spot. Some of these hidden spots don't contain hidden eggs, but instead a cloud that will warp the player to a bonus stage, which is instead uncovered by hitting the spot repeatedly with a weapon or by standing still for a short period of time. At the bonus stages, the player can collect a series of fruits (each worth 500 points regardless of the type) until Higgins falls into a pitfall. However, instead of losing a life, he will return to the regular stage at the next checkpoint.

GOAL

At the fourth round of each area, Higgins will confront a different form of King Quiller, the game's boss character. King Quiller has the ability to change his head by up to eight different types. Higgins must defeat King Quiller by striking his head a specific amount of times with his weapon. The number of hits required to defeat Quiller increases with each area (his first form requires eight hits and every subsequent form requires two additional hits until the eighth and final form, which requires 22 hits). When King Quiller is defeated, he will change his head and escape to the next area. King Quiller uses the same attack in each form, with the only thing that changes besides his durability are his mobility speed and the speed of his fireball attacks. When Higgins defeats King Quiller's final form, Quiller will fall off a cliff and Tina is rescued.

Angry Birds Star Wars

Introduction

Angry Birds Star Wars is an Angry Birds game for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, which launched on November 8th, 2012. The game was first shown on the Angry Birds Facebook page. The teaser video depicts Bomb (as Obi-Wan) in a hood holding a Lightsaber, parodying the style of clothing worn by the Jedi in Star Wars.

Concept

In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playing field. As players advance through the game, new types of birds become available, some with special abilities that can be activated by the player. Rovio Mobile has supported Angry Birds with numerous free updates that add additional game content, and the company has also released stand-alone holiday and promotional versions of the game.

Challenge

Each level starts with the number, types, and order of birds pre-determined.If all of the pigs are defeated by the time the last bird is used, the level is completed and the next level is unlocked.Points are scored for each pig defeated as well as for damage to, or destruction of, structures, and bonus points are awarded for any unused birds. Upon completing each level, players receive one, two, or three stars, depending on the score received. Players may re-attempt unlocked levels as many times as they wish in order to complete them successfully or to earn additional points or stars.

Goal

In Angry Birds, the player controls a flock of multi-colored birds that are attempting to retrieve their eggs, which have been stolen by a group of green pigs.On each level, the pigs are sheltered by structures made of various materials such as wood, ice and stone, and the objective of the game is to eliminate all the pigs on the level. Using a slingshot, players launch the birds with the intent of either hitting the pigs directly or damaging the structures, causing them to collapse and eliminate the pigs.In various stages of the game, additional objects such as explosive crates and rocks are found in the structures, and may be used in conjunction with the birds to destroy hard-to-reach pigs.
